The installation, conceived by the artist Marco Zecchinato in collaboration with students from the Artistic High School P. Selvatico in Padua and Veneto di Venezia, as part of the island regeneration project on Certosa Island in Venice, commemorates World Oceans Day on June 8.
This collaboration between the Artistic High School P. Selvatico and Veneto di Venezia, responsible for the island's regeneration project, has resulted in the creation of "Oceano – Liberazione," a land art piece featuring three whale tails (the tallest of which reaches over 3 meters) crafted from reclaimed materials sourced from the lagoon.
Conceived in the first week of June 2022 by artist Marco Zecchinato, the installation is publicly presented through a video documenting its genesis.
